experimental drawings

Experimenting both in Representation II and Design II, I exercised a form of minimalism in these drawings. Each is unique in context to each class.
Design II Midterm - hybridizing my approaches of space loops and subtraction of surfaces to unify separate elements, I began stitching together a sequence of four views. Each would flow into the next through subtracting an element from each one, allowing the colors to manipulate the movement of the drawing. In this fashion the drawing in its entirety creates a loop, not allowing the eyes of the viewer to escape the drawing. Figures and objects were added for context in each space viewed.
Design II Final - Utilizing a sequence and extending minimalism to it's bounds, a series of photos through my final project were taken. Through this series, they tell a story of circulation through the structure, and give a visual representation to the narrative of my occupants done in conjunction to this process. In order to allow for space to hold dominion over the drawing, figures and objects were not placed for context.
Representation II Final - Using a single panoramic view of a Nevada desert background, and a series of views from within the structure, i began stitching views to disorient and manipulate the viewer, the way a maze would. In order to further the provocation, where each view is stitched to the next it is also blurred to exaggerate speed and create a phenomena for the audience.
